We have a petition at the shop to put a stop to the government’s plans to put HST tax on bicycles and bicycle accessories.

As it stands, when the HST tax is introduced people will be paying 7% more taxes on their bicycle or equipment.

We need to take a stand to encourage the use of environmentally friendly transportation modes. The electric bicycles that we sell at Scooter Underground will become 7% more expensive if the HST is implemented as currently planned.

Although the web site calls it a motorcycle ride, gas scooters are also welcome. Riders of 50cc scooters will be able to comfortably take part in the police escorted portion of the rider in the city. Larger scooters can join in the poker run which goes out on the Peninsula to Sidney. This year they hope to have nearly 1,000 riders in Victoria. Register now - we hope to see you there.

Just a reminder that the Times Colonist 10k Run is fast approaching and it is filling up fast - register now! What a great event - now one of the largest runs in Canada!

The weather is starting to come around ...finally. What this means is that our service shop is booking up fast. We strongly advise you to get your scooter in ASAP for its spring tune up so that you will avoid waiting later on. Book now!

Just a heads up - we are closed on both Good Friday and Easter Monday, This will also give us a bit more time to do some reconfiguration of the shop to serve you better in the coming scooter season.

Electric bikes are off to a sizzling start this season - we strongly recommend that you try the eZeebike electric bikes before you buy anything else.
